Welcome to Lake Cavagnac. A stunning 21-hectare natural lake nestled in the Aveyronnaise Valley in southwestern France.

Cavagnac offers people beautiful nature and fishing in a perfect environment. It is located about 1 km from Bournazel in a beautiful village surrounded by wet fields and forests. The view of the castle and the surrounding landscape radiates the history of the last century.

Previously, the lake was used to breed tench, perch and pike. Every two years, the lake was caught and the fish sold, except for the carp, which was always put back in the lake. Over the years, we have added more and more populations, and now there is a home for about 1,000 carp.

The lake, its depth can reach 4.5 m lies 490 meters above sea level. It consists of 3 large bays and 3 springs (1 located in the middle of the lake), which create a wintering ground for carp. Cavagnac is now part of heritage protection due to its ecological and landscape history.

It is mostly a flooded lake with hard, shallow edges. We have marked places for safe fishing here.

Lake Cavagnac is home to some legendary European carps.

In addition to huge carp, we also have about 150 grass carp. Lake Cavagnac is also stocked with pike, perch, roach and tench.

The species of fish in our lake are controlled, and we do not have catfish, sturgeon, bream, chub or crayfish.

Also for your comfort and comfortable fishing, we do not have any weeds, flooded stumps or anything that would make fishing there difficult.
