Complete Fishing Camp in Dalarna, Sweden
About the Camp
The camp offers professional fishing guides, top-quality equipment, and full comfort for anglers seeking a carefree holiday full of great catches. It is located in the Siljan Lake area in the Dalarna region.
Fishing Programs
Summer and winter fishing with a variety of techniques: spinning, trolling, fly fishing, ice fishing, and more.
Target species: pike, perch, trout, and possibly other river species. The surrounding lakes and rivers offer a wide range of opportunities, including fly fishing.
Pike
Pike in Lake Siljan and surrounding waters present a true challenge – they are most often caught by trolling, but the most thrilling experience is spinning or fly fishing. Fishing takes place in open water above shallows and drop-offs, where hundreds of casts are often needed. The lake has little vegetation; the main food source for pike and trout is pelagic fish like vendace. Patient anglers may be rewarded with an unforgettable pike catch up to 130 cm.
Best periods for pike fishing:
-
Mid-May to late June
(In July and August, we try to avoid pike fishing, as the water may be too warm during some weeks.) -
September to November
Perch
Perch in Lake Siljan and nearby lakes gather in large schools at certain times of the year – this is when fishing is easiest. When the water is warmest, fishing is done at depths of 2–4.5 meters. In colder water, 6–10 meters deep. Perch usually stay close to structures like rocks or submerged trees. Common catch sizes are 30–35 cm, with many fish in the 40–46 cm range. Trophy perch of 50–53 cm appear several times a year.
Best time for perch fishing is from late June to mid-September.
With good knowledge, it is of course possible to find and catch perch even earlier or later.
