Overview

Price of stay
The prices of an eight-day trip (stay on a boat) range from 2250 EUR / 1 person, depending on the number of people in the trip. The price includes full board. Beer and soft drinks can be bought on the boat.

The ticket (Emirates) can be secured from 750 EUR with a timely purchase.

From 1 July 2016, the Maldivian government will levy a “Green Tax” of $ 6 per person / day (you will pay $ 48 for an eight-day stay). This fee is not included in the price and is only charged on the boat on the day of arrival.

The Catamaran has all the fishing equipment, you only need to bring single hooks (approx. 150 pcs per group) and trolling Rapals 18-22 cm.

We offer sightseeing stays on safari boats that sail with you around the beautiful atolls (Vaavu, Lhaviyani, Shaviyani atoll, etc.) according to your wishes. We are able to arrange the entire expedition on a “turnkey” basis. We have mapped the southern and northern atolls in detail. You will not always be in the same place as usual when staying in the resorts, but you will swim (snorkel) on a different beach with different coral reefs every day.

We can combine fishing with swimming and snorkeling. We have no problem arranging a purely fishing or family stay. What should prevail during your stay is entirely up to you. You spend your entire stay on a large ship, where you are taken care of by a professional five-member crew, including a chef 24 hours a day.

Fishing

Trolling
This method of fishing begins at dawn around seven o’clock in the morning. It is usually caught on four to six rods. Harder rods fitted with bells weighing about 80 pounds are usually used. The rods are usually equipped with multipliers with a combat brake in the size of “80”. PENN International 80 VSW multipliers and rods of the same brand proved to be the best for us. The multipliers usually have a roll of monofilament line with a diameter of 0.80 – 1 mm. Williamson trolling octopuses and Rapala wobblers, which are very effective especially on wahoo and barracudas, proved to be the best traps. Trolling is the most widely used hunting method in which you have the best chance of catching a large sailfish or swordfish. This discipline ends shortly before lunch and is followed by popping.

Popping
There are few fishing destinations left, where you can catch fish over 20 kg on a floating wobbler. The Maldives will give you this chance in full. For this type of fishing you will need a fishing rod in the length of about 3m and weighing 200-300g. A knitted cord with a diameter of 0.25 mm is used for popping. It is a good idea to combine the end assembly with a popper with a rig of monofilament line with a diameter of 0.60 mm, which is durable in case the fish enters the coral after the shot. Popping is very physically demanding, because it is thrown to a distance of 80-100m from the boat. The most common catches are the great giant trevally (GT), snapper, shark and brarracuda.

Night fishing
It begins at dusk when the ship docks at overnight. This is a very popular discipline for Czech fishermen, especially for family stays, which spend most of the day swimming and snorkeling. It is caught at depths of 40-60m. Rods 2.1 – 2.4 m with a weight of 200-400 g, equipped with a strong all-metal shear reel or a multiplier are used. A 0.32 mm knitted cord with a load capacity of 51 kg is used as a roll. The end assembly with a steel cable is very important, which you have to make yourself using clipping pliers. Also do not forget the lead weights of 100 – 300g, so-called “cigars”. You will need strong single hooks of size 5/0 to 10/0 to set the bait. Keep in mind that successful night fishing depends on the type of bait fish.

Snorkeling
Each atoll is formed by a group of islands and a ring-shaped coral reef. In the middle of the atoll is a lagoon with a coral reef, in which thousands of interesting underwater animals live. The Maldives occupies a total of 1196 islands, of which about two hundred are inhabited. Snorkeling and diving are truly unique here. Just a few steps from the shore you will find shoals of colorful coral fish floating in the crystal clear sea – there are more than three quarters of all species of coral fish that inhabit this planet. Diving fans will enjoy the thrill of the presence of sea turtles, stingrays, moray eels, dolphins and whale sharks.
Thanks to the accommodation on the boat, you will swim to a different beach and snorkel on a different coral reef every day. You will learn about the diversity of the warm waters of the atolls of the Maldivian archipelago in the Indian Ocean. We will take you to places you will not find in any tourist guide! We know places where manta rays, turtles – cards, or sharks, for example, regularly occur. While swimming, you can also visit the heart of the island and admire the tropical flora and fauna.
