Holiday homes by Norway’s longest fjord

The holiday homes are located on sunny plots in the middle of the picturesque village of Sørbøvåg in the municipality of Hyllestad, right at the beginning of the famous Sognefjord – Norway’s longest fjord.

Peace and quiet with a panoramic view of the fjord and the majestic Lihesten mountain – a landscape you will never forget.

All cottages are of a good standard with electricity, hot and cold water, underfloor heating and are tastefully furnished for your comfort and convenience.

You can park right next to each cabin.

• The beds are of very good quality. Most bedrooms have a bed size of 90 x 200 cm. Extra beds are possible.
• The kitchen is well equipped.
• Satellite TV (Thor and Astra), large fridge, large freezer, vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, washing machine and storage space.
• All houses have spacious terraces with furniture, barbecue and a large terrace awning.
• Wireless internet connection, roofed fish cleaning facility with electricity and fresh water. Access to a large freezer at reception for large catches or if you just want to freeze something quickly.
• The drinking water is from a local source and is first class.
• Baby cot and high chair free of charge
• Smoking and pets are prohibited in the houses.
• Within a radius of 100 meters you will also find a beach, a playground, larger grills with seating and a reception.
• There is a supermarket and a local pub in the same building as the reception.

There is also a local MH24 petrol station where you can refuel 24 hours a day for both cars and boats.

Fishing

Lots of fish species, from small to large.

The location is an ideal base for people interested in fishing, whether it’s inside the fjords or further out on the open sea.

You can also go to some good freshwater and salmon rivers like Flekke and Gaula.

The site is located near the Gulf Stream, which means you can fish year-round.

The coast has many islands and islets, so you will always find shelter.

If you want to go for bigger fish, we recommend a day with one of the fishing guides.

Marina

The guest harbor is located in the center of an idyllic and beautiful little village called Sørbøvåg.

In a landscape shaped by the Vikings and their stone cutters for hundreds of years. Part of this area has been nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Boats and boat rentals

Boats are carefully selected and tested for safety and functionality. Instruction and hands-on reviews on how the engine and boat work are included in the rental price. Boats are located in their own marina just outside reception. The harbor is equipped with lights, electricity, drinking water, and a gas station.

Boats are rented fully functional, cleaned and with a full tank of gasoline.

The refundable deposit starts at 300 euros.

You are fully responsible for the boat and equipment and can arrange insurance at reception.

To drive a boat with an engine over 25 HP, you must be born before 1980 or have a boat driver’s license.

All boats and equipment are inspected daily.

It owns a grocery store that also includes a post office, pharmacy, bakery, flowers, fishing tackle and local handmade souvenirs.

Gas station

Open 24 hours a day with bank and credit cards with PIN code.

Also Statoil, Circle K, Coop and NAF cards.

Own jetty for refueling ships.

Pub and cafe

Open Monday-Friday 9am-8pm and Saturday 9am-6pm.

Here you get draft beer on tap and a selection of beer and cider in bottles and cans.

We especially want to highlight the local beer from Skifjorden Bryggeri, which is produced and bottled 5 minutes from the premises.
