The facility in camp close to the ocean combined with the surrounding archipelago offers fantastic opportunities for all types of sea fishing.

Sea fishing

You can enjoy sea fishing all year round. The summer months are high season and locals and visitors alike make the most of the warmer temperatures and bright evenings.

The most common Norwegian fish species that you can catch in Nothaugen are: cod, halibut, haddock, mackerel, flounder, wolffish, sea trout, haddock, hake, ocean perch and others.

Inland fishing

Near the campsite, you will find truly unique fishing and outdoor adventures. Trout fishing in massive mountains or in many lakes and small streams.

As a visitor, you have the same rights as all Norwegians, including “freedom to roam”. This means that the government and private landowners will welcome you to travel on their land without additional permission.

Boat rental

The boats are available for hire in three different sizes of rigid and seaworthy aluminum Kværnø boats, from 17 feet to 21 feet, with Yamaha outboards from 40 to 100 horsepower.

All 22 boats are equipped with fishing rod holders, modern GPS, chartplotters and fishfinders.

The rental price includes laminated nautical charts, life jackets, gaffs, landing net, 2 fish boxes, bucket, safe (various accessories). The advantage is to fill up at the gas station in the campsite and pay with payment cards if necessary.

Initially, you get a ship with full fuel tanks. Both tanks must be filled when returning the boat.

To rent a boat you need:

• Valid passport or identity card.
• The responsible person / boat driver is communicative in English or Norwegian.
• Boat licenses for persons born after 1980. Persons born before 1980 who do not have a captain’s license are responsible for their experience / knowledge.
• Rental agreement, passenger list and security report form. You will receive them upon arrival.
• Payment card (Visa / Mastercard). NOK 10,000 will be reserved on your credit card to cover any losses. Please make sure your credit card is valid in Norway before arrival.

Marina

Next to the campsite is a beautiful harbor with solid and high quality floating piers built in concrete. This is where your ocean adventure begins after you board the boat of your choice, whether you go fishing, diving or just exploring.

Next to the marina you will also find a fish preparation room where you can process your fish catches.

Accommodation – Cottages

Cottages in various sizes with private toilet/bathroom. The largest cottages have three and six bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen with a dishwasher and a living room.

Reception and kiosk

At the reception combined with a small kiosk, you will get the necessary information about fishing opportunities in the nearby marine area. Possibility to buy snacks and Nothaugen souvenirs.

Dryer

Drying room with open dryers for overalls, shoes and gloves. The device is made of steel resistant to sea water.

The first fishing camp to use such a laundry drying system.

Customers have exclusive benefits as these systems maintain guest health and comfort. You have a great opportunity to start your daily activities with comfortable and dry clothes.

Fish processing house

Right on the pier, near the boats, there is a great filleting spot.

Large freezer boxes that guests can use to freeze and store fish until they return home.

Hot tub

After a day of fishing at sea, there is the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing hot tub overlooking the harbor.

Sanitary facilities

The condition of the equipment and cleanliness of the sanitary facility is one of the most important factors when choosing a campsite.

Nothaugen offers sanitary facilities with everything you need: standard sanitary equipment, sink with hot and cold water, showers with hot and cold water.

In addition, a washer and dryer.

Safety at sea

Follow the rules of the sea and make sure you know what they are. Always think about safety. Respect the sea and the weather. Wear life jackets or other flotation devices.

Make sure you are rested and sober. Be considerate and remember that everyone’s safety, environment and well-being is a shared responsibility.

Booking conditions

Check in 15:00 | Check out 11:00.

The ship is taken over after 9:00. Delivery back to the campsite no later than 20:00.

Unless otherwise agreed, the arrival time must be before 22:00 on the first day of the rental period.

Customer Liabilities

The customer is obliged to compensate for damage caused to property, e.g.: rented premises with furniture, boats, boat engines, tools, household appliances, etc. equipment and is also responsible for any damage caused by other persons participating or paying rent, or to another person for whom the applicant will allow access to the premises.

We will reserve your credit card before renting the boat and/or house. Take your Visa or Mastercard to register. If you return the boat and house undamaged, we will release the reservation made on the card.

Cancellation of reservations

You can contact us by email at info@fishtime.cz to let us know that you wish to cancel your reservation.

If we receive your email 60 days or more before your arrival date, we will refund 50% of the total fee paid. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.

No refund will be given if we receive your email 30 days prior to your arrival date.

Nothaugen reserves the right to cancel your reservation if 70% of the remaining amount is not paid 60 days before the arrival date.
