Katlov lake is a private property and private water of a famous sport fisherman Jakub Vágner. You can find here extraordinary and best fish population in the Czech Republic. And the main reason is not only number of fish. Thanks to our long experience we know that less means often more. In Katlov lake you will not find so called “fish soup”. We try to create fishermen´s paradise and fish paradise in the same time. Each fish in the lake is unique and it is a pleasure for fishermen´s eyes to see it. You can find here beautiful and interesting forms of carps, for example linear with the weight of about 20 kg. Likewise tench with a length of about 70 cm. The location with its position, size and habitat is extremely promising. It can be expected that some carps will exceed the limit of 30 kilograms in near future. DESCRIPTION
Katlov lake is located in the Central Bohemian region, about 14 km from Kutná Hora, near the village of Red Janovice. The lake lies at an altitude of 446 m above sea level and covers an area of 25 hectares. Its average depth is 2.5 meters, but the bottom of the lake is very rugged. You will find three large islands, dozens of underwater benches, shallow, field of aquatic plants and four meters deep at the dam. Around the perimeter of the lake there were built fourteen peninsulas serving as a natural pier for fishing. Three other fishing sites in this area are in behind the dam and they are classic grassy banks. Fishing stations are spaced approximately one hundred meters away from each other which ensures quiet and peaceful fishing for everybody.
