Underwater Kornati
The underwater world of the Kornati is extremely clean, with exceptional clarity. Light penetrates deeply, creating a unique environment for fish and various beautiful coral species.
So far, 353 species of algae, 3 species of seagrasses, and about 850 animal species have been recorded in the Kornati National Park — among them 185 species of fish.
Kornati Nature Reserve
The Kornati Islands are a true marine paradise located in the northern part of Dalmatia, consisting of 89 islands, islets, rocks, and reefs. Their breathtaking landscape is best experienced from the air, while sailing through the crystal-clear sea, or from one of the scenic viewpoints on the islands.
The view of the Kornati will impress you no matter how you explore them — and it’s well worth the effort to experience them in different ways.
Today, a part of the Kornati archipelago — roughly two-thirds of its land and sea area — is designated as a National Park.
