Fishing in one of Norway’s best salmon rivers:

Exclusive salmon fishing in the 2000m section of the river Stjørdalselva. You can fish from both sides of the river.

The river has part witch is fishable both at high water and low water if different fishing equipment is used and has rapids with exciting sections as well as calmer pools that are best at high water levels.

Accommodations

Accommodation in one of the houses on the Kjelbergnes farm. It is located about 100 meters from the river on the north side and contains three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom with a shower and toilet.

There is also access to a freezer and the house has internet and TV.

The supermarket is 20 km away.

The price of accommodation (total for six fishermen) is NOK 30,000 / 1 week

Fishing season: June, July, August

Fishing Methods: Fly Fishing, Spinning, Float fishing, Fishing with weights (Worms in june and july)

Fishing license: NOK 100

State fishing license: NOK 310

The daily quota is 1 salmon in June, July and August.

If a fish is killed, fishing must stop until a new fishing day begins.

Female fish over 65 cm are protected in August and must be released.

The use of worms is not allowed in August.

The use of lead is allowed only when using worms.

All sea trout must be immediately returned to the water with as little injury as possible.

Any salmon caught or released must be reported within 24 hours with full name and relevant information (www.elveguiden.no).

Fishing equipment used outside of Stjørdal must be disinfected before use.

The fee for non-disinfection, non-reporting and violation of regulations regarding fishing equipment is NOK. 3000, -. The quota violation fee is NOK. 6000,-.

Along the river

The North and South side of the river is connected by a bridge for walking on the upper side of the section,

In the middle part of the river, there is a built-in barbecue area with a small cabin, which can be used to rest from fishing or to warm up in bad weather.

It is a place where salmon often appear. There are also two small cabins on the South side of the river close to the fishing pools.
