Overview

15-hectare lake

A former gravel pit from the 1970s, completed in the early 21st century.

It is the only lake in the world that was opened for carp fishing in 2012 and offers fishing for 250 sturgeons of more than 20 different species, including the French record of 2.20 meters and over 115 kg (white sturgeon).

Around 600 carp (average 17/18 kg) up to 35 kg, about a hundred grass carp up to 36+ kg, and around 130 koi carp reaching or exceeding 21 kg.

The water is relatively clear and generally between 2 and 10 meters deep, with a relatively clean chalk and gravel bottom.

There are several shallow, weedy areas along the edges.

Boats are allowed for everything except fighting the fish, in order not to disturb other carp anglers.

Carp anglers are sometimes surprised to find eels or monstrous pike on their boilies, as specimens between 1.20 and 1.30 meters are randomly caught every year. Your bait may attract more than 25 different species!

You can recharge your phone or laptop batteries, fill up water containers, and benefit from professional advice.

Some of the sturgeons are quite rare and relatively unknown to carp anglers.

Swims

8 fishing swims have been set up on the lake, 4 of which are equipped with a fishing hut.

You can reach your fishing swim by car via the path around the lake, but once you’ve unloaded your gear, the vehicle must be parked in the secure car park in front of the reception building. For your safety, vehicles are not allowed around the lake outside the arrival and departure times when you are setting up or packing your equipment.
