A fishing and adventure camp at 71 degrees north, in the village of Gjesvær on the north cape of Nordkapp.
In the middle of a lively fishing village, in the pleasant rorbu apartments located right on the pier, you have the best starting point for fantastic experiences in the beautiful nature.
Right outside the door is the world’s northernmost archipelago, Norway’s largest seabird colony and the species-rich Barents Sea.
There are good fishing opportunities for cod, haddock, flounder, redfish and large halibut, among others. Various species of whales and seals also belong to the species diversity in this area.
For foreign guests, it is allowed to transport 18 kg of fillets per person across the border.
Trout waters lie in the mountains directly behind the fishing village.
Camping is suitable for everyone: fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers and adventure seekers, young and old.
In modern times, getting to Gjesvær is not a problem. The path here is well marked and of good quality.
DEEP SEA FISHING:
The best deep sea fishing is a 10 minute boat ride away. Halibut, redfish, cod, haddock, wolffish and many other species.
The best fishing can be found around the iconic bird mountain Gjesværstappan, home to seals, porpoises and whales.
Professional fishing guides will find the best spots based on the type of fish, day, weather and currents.
You can fish alone or with a local guide.

Four apartments
All have 3 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds. Each apartment can accommodate 6 people. Or 7 if you don’t mind a couch in the living room.
All in all, 24 people can be comfortably accommodated at the same time.

INTERESTING
There are currently approximately 100 permanent residents living in Gjesvær. In the summer months, many tourists find their way here, the population increases and the traffic is noticeably greater. The locals are welcoming and welcome all guests who make the trip to a village they are justifiably proud of and enjoy.
