Lake Pelagićevo is located in Bosnia, not far from the Orašje border crossing with Croatia. From the border, it’s about another 20 kilometers to the lake.
The lake was formed in the 1960s and covers an area of 19 hectares. Its average depth is around 2.5 meters, but the water level has fluctuated significantly in recent years, causing rapid changes in the average depth.
The first carp were stocked in the lake in 1967. Thanks to good management, the lake is now home to an incredible population of carp, making it one of the most remarkable carp fishing waters in the region.
The current lake record stands at 37.8 kg.
It is estimated that the lake currently holds around 6 carp over 30 kg, 30 carp over 25 kg, and 170 carp over 20 kg.
