Fishing

Bud is well known for its good fishing and offers many nice and reliable fishing spots, both from a boat and from land.

The camp rents boats and is happy to share the best tips with you. If you want to fish from the shore, a good tip is Atlanterhavsveien, which is only a few minutes’ drive away.

 

At Camp Bud you have an excellent starting point for great experiences at sea. You can go out to sea for monkfish, flounder or cod, or you can go to the fjords in bad weather. In the fall of 2022, one of the guests caught a 36-kilo, 190-cm molva!

For those trying to get as many species as possible or looking for a new species, Bud is the place to be.

Greatest cabins in a fantastic location. The cottages have a large furnished terrace. 8 beds in 3 bedrooms: One room with a double bed, the other two with a family bunk bed. Living room with sofa, armchair, TV and wood stove. The kitchen has a large dining table, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, kitchen utensils and cutlery. External chamber with freezer and washing machine. Bathroom in the corridor with wc and sink and main bathroom with wc, shower and sink.

Rorbu (typical Norwegian cabin) over three floors with a unique location. Asphalt parking and terraces in front of the house. On the first floor there is a large family room with a long table and a small kitchen bench, a bathroom with a shower/toilet and one bedroom. On the second floor there is a living room/kitchen with a panoramic view, two bedrooms and a bathroom with a toilet. Loft with mattresses on the floor.

The cottage is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, the coastal path runs right by and you have a great view of all the boat traffic in the harbor from the living room. The bedrooms are variously equipped with beds.

Bed linen/towels and final cleaning are included in the price.

Safety is paramount

Your safety is very important to the camp. That is why it requires approved captain’s exams when renting a boat, those born before 1/1/1980 do not need captain’s exams.

Bud Camp is a registered fishing camp that can assist guests with customs documents.

*In summer, we recommend a trip to the islands right in front of the campsite for barbecuing, swimming and snorkeling in clear water.
