Kurendhoo

The island is located in the middle of Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, 120 minutes from the airport. The population of the island is about 1,000 – 1,200 inhabitants and half of the population lives in other places, mostly in Male.

The island is in good condition for local tourism. The main revenues come from business in the fields of tourism, fishing, agriculture and shipbuilding.

The atoll is known for fishing, surfing and diving.

Fishing

Atoll is with direct access to one of the largest ocean in Maldives Kaashidaa Kandu and edge to deep sea, mostly different kind of big fishes and other species cross its journey within Atoll. In addition, there a plenty of Haa ( a place where bait fish live ) Atoll is famous for Pole and Line fishing, Big Game Fishing, Reef Fishing, Jigging, Popping, Sunset Fishing, Fly Fishing, Shore Fishing and etc…The atoll has direct access to the ocean and to the edge of the deep sea.
